Chaos orb functionallity in POE2

I am the only one who thinks chaos orb is gonna suffer like a massive downgrade from what it is now?
Also how much is gonna cost a divine in poe2 1000c?
I would like to be wrong but the new chaos orb seems a lot worse than the one we have now.

We have no idea what drop rates will be like in PoE 2, it could go the opposite direction as well.

yep i am following exilecon with interest but i am worried the current version of chaos orbs is my main rersource for crafting, if they change how it works good bye to the way i do crafting now

I "crafted" this item by using one chaos orb one single time, blinking in astonishment at what it gave me (i.e. every single stat I needed at an acceptable level and only ONE truly bum result, the dinky fire resistance clogging an otherwise valuable suffix crafting slot), and never touching the armor again save to 6L it and fish for Eldritch implicits.


It was hilarious. It's also the only time I've ever gotten use out of crafting with Chaos orbs other than rerolling maps to suck less. I'm willing to see what comes of chaos orbs being, essentially, less-targeted Harvest crafting balls. I'm curious to see what will replace the rerolling aspect of current crafting, or if the rerolling aspect will be replaced at all. Maybe you'll actually need an already-decent rare to start with and have to modify that rather than just fishing for scoured white bases to start from scratch with?

Yep i have been getting godly items these last 2 leagues with good base fractured items and chaos orbs.
