Offline play.

According to the news about POE 2 I have a question, asked on this forum before.

Will POE go offline, when GGG will decide to focus on POE 2?
Is GGG team changed it's mind about offline mode?

I am playing Torchlight 2 and Sacred between leagues and even Ascaron does not exist, I still can launch it's game and have fun, but, will I be able to do this in future with POE 1?

I doubt PoE will ever be an offline game.

Not crapping on the idea, I just don't personally see it happening.

May they enable modding or autorize a community fork once the code becomes an obsolete one.

Maybe mr. Wilson could autorize this, not sure about the chinese masterminds that bought GGG (they dont interfere in game development, just want to grab money and do it well).

They can earn royalties for a fork, just lease the old code under license to a crowfunded party driven by players and amateur devs.
