Thats not how Classic Vsync works!!!

In what world does normal vsync when your monitor refresh rate is 60hz and your fps goes to 59 fps the game starts to render everything to 30 fps. never seen that in a single game!!!!

Of course you get flooded with my fps sucks after patch when a lot of people have vsync on and normally would play at 60 fps. then get alot of mobs and effects maybe drop to ~50 fps what you barely feel and now it instantly gets down to 30fps.

as follow up this was on dx12 beta
also turning it off and let nvidia control panel control it did not help much it is still a huge fps drop but not the instant 30fps

After that, I tried dx11
the force from nvidia control panel doesn't work at all!
But the locked now seems to works, but there is for sure another huge FPS loss on some other end on some mobs with just 1-2 effects.I still drop from uncapped 100 fps down to 40 fps and same on vsync locked from 60 down to 40fps

now to vulkan:
with nvidia forced vsync it at least works and actually performs so far the best staple 60 fps and it goes down on heavy stuff to 50 fps rarely to 40 fps.
same goes for just locked on poe.

So it looks like it is mainly a dx12 thing.

Sadly, vulkan is not a option for me because even tho it looks like it should run smooth. i always have these super, super tiny micro stutters that make it feel like it doesn't run on 60 fps. i hade it with my i5 8600k and i recently upgraded to a i5 13600k, and it was gone, but now it is back. :(


as a side note dynamic resolution seems to not work at all i don't get the ugly look and it doesn't stay on 60 or 50 fps what ever i set it to

Edit: hm when i turn off multithreading on vulkan the tiny tiny micro stutter goes away from earlier what i described why i don't use vulkan) so i guess there is something with intel cpu's maybe on game side or driver or OS
