[Linux-Flatpak-Steam] Cant launch after update 3.21.2

What was expected: Game running normally, as per previous time tried.

What happens: Game launch for around 2 seconds and crash.

System:
Linux Mint 21.2 Cinnamon
Kernel 5.19.0-46-generic

Hardware
Intel© Core™ i3-4170 CPU @ 3.70GHz
RX 570 4GB
12Gib RAM

Software:
Using steam flatkpak version. Tried running with the following:
Proton Experimental
Proton 8.0-3
GE-Proton 8-9

Options I remember being set: (Can't check, as the game crashs before menu.)
Engine: Vulkan
Multithreading: enabled

What was tried to solve:
Tried the method being commented around of using a .drirc file under /home/user, with no change.

/home/user/.drirc file contents:

"""
<driconf>
<device>
<application name="Path of Exile" executable="PathOfExile_x64Steam.exe">

<application name="Path of Exile" executable="PathOfExileSteam.exe">

</application>
</device>

Also found that /home/user/.var/app/com.valvesoftware.Steam/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/238960/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Documents/My Games/Path of Exile/production_Config.ini is blank and if deleted is created again, still blank.
Had a similiar issue, and the same sort of error on PopOS.

I ended up just installing the standalone client through Lutris (rather than using Steam). I also had to set the environment variables in Lutris's config for steam rather than just putting it in some config file in $HOME.

But once I did that, it worked (admittedly a fair number of hoops to jump through). Regardless if that helps ... best of luck!

That one I hadn't tested, solved, thank you!
vk_x11_override_min_image_count=2 %command% lets me start PoE. But the performance is shot. I have been using an asus vivobook 14 running arch to play PoE and it was working well with low settings up until the latest engine change.

Maybe the new engine is more demanding and hits the performance of low end devices? It would be nice to have an option to use the old engine if it hasn't been removed from the client.
Just updating the situation in case anyone see this in the future.
After que patch 3.21.2b everything went back to normal.
Removed the POE launch parameters from steam, running with Vulkan without any problems anymore.
Feeling the game a bit smoother in general, but I did mess around with settings after getting the game working with the launch options, so any improvements I'm feeling might not be related to the patch itself.
