Ruthless Mode Gem Drops Question

I started a Witch in SSF Ruthless Mode and as I've been playing though the acts, I've noticed that 100% of my gem drops (both support gems and active gems) have been blue gems. More than a dozen by now.

Is this intentional in Ruthless mode because I am playing as a witch or is this just some really weird streak of luck?

If I want to get support gems that are green/red, do I need to also play a different character in order to do that?

It's purely RNG in action. My ruthless characters dropped all 3 colour gems (most of which were useless for my build at the time). Keep playing, you will eventually see the other colour gems :)
