Recommendations for SSF League Summoner

Hi, I've been away from the game for a few years. I used to play a zombiemancer necromancer. I think it may have been refered to as 'the lazy summoner.' Over the years they have nerfed summoner builds as far as I understand, and so they don't work as well, or at least things like my go to build doesn't work anymore. I don't know if my impressions are correct or not.

As a refugee, I'm returning to PoE and I'm wondering if anyone can point me into the direction of guides or builds that are summoner based that work as SSF. I will be playing in the league. Trading is just too irritating and time consuming for me in this game. I don't want to deal with it. My two favourite classes in the past that are summoner based are witch and templar. I also enjoy templar totems. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Spectre summons were decent this league since we had the Frostbearers. They were from the league content, so who knows if they will exist next league or not. I played trade but I didn't spend much on it at all and I think should be pretty SSF viable. If the Frostbearers are not in the next league I am not sure if there is or will be another spectre that is comparable but it could be worth looking in to.

I love summoners and always try them nerfs or not. Usally I can find something that works at least ok as long as you are not expecting a full sceen explosion meta experience.

As far as meta goes, I am not sure totems are at that level but again with setting expectations, I think doable. 14% of characters on POE ninja SFF crucible league are totem for example.

Thanks for the info. With the new league only a month away, I won't be getting to far anyway. This is a good time to try things out. :D I'm a Diablo 4 refugee. It's in a terrible state right now.

Ha trust me I am with you on D4... I have developed a greater appreciation for GGG since June 5. I mean I always liked GGG and POE but D4 helped me see some things in a different light. Like what I like about games.

If you plan on playing this current league, I was guessing you were thinking next league, the Forged Frostbearer spectres are really cool. If you search on that there are a ton of guides. If you can stomache 1 trade you can buy a Bitterdream for a few chaos and its insane. In SFF you might be more limited with the build but I guess it depnds on how far you want to go with it.
