Leveling past 95 feedback
Ok, TL;DR: most unfun experience I had in gaming in the last decade. And yes, I played Forspoken, too and did all the quests in that sorry excuse for a city.
Longer version: I'm at 28% into 95 -> 96 and by my current calculation it will take me about 6-7 hours of mindless grinding as if I was a monkey or something to get that last passive skill tree point I want before I can FINALLY get back to doing FUN things and actually progressing by upgrading gear via currency I earn through doing more risky things than running selectively rolled T16s. And yes, I'm a "victim" to the sunk cost fallacy here, but I will not risk the hard earned 28% of my final level by doing something that is more risky than semi-afk'ing / facerolling stupid blue T16s. So, fun tax strikes again. Thanks, but no thanks. I wonder what is seen as the challenge here? Is this a psycho test or something? Hidden camera? Oh, and it's expensive as well. Spent 3 or 4 divines on scarabs (cartographers mostly) and Harbinger Orbs to keep me going. Seriously, respect your players time. Thanks. Getting to 100 is a long term goal that has been greatly reduced in terms of the grind to get there.
Past 95 you should just be ignoring it but YOU are the one that has fixated on getting to 96 and it simply is not required to do anything in the game. Ancestral Bond. It's a thing that does stuff. -Vipermagi

" instead you couldve spent that to level up to at least 98 in 5 ways. |

just buy 5 ways
and the build looks very scuffed, why would you use 4x enhance... the helmet doesnt even have quality "buff grenades" - Buff Grenades (Buff-Grenades) Last edited by auspexa#1404 on Jul 2, 2023, 8:54:59 AM

@OP
You're struggling because your build was awful 15+ leagues ago and is basically unplayable by todays standards. |

Just like challenges, leveling to 100 shouldn't be something you have to buy to achieve. If you have to resort to 5ways in order to reach it within a reasonable timeframe, then the road to 100 is unreasonable from the start.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.
Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! MFers found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on them. I am not so foolish. |

It's been like a... day or two since I saw similar post complaining about lvl 100 grind in D4.
Getting to max level in most good aRPGs (D2/GD/PoE and now in D4 - and yes, I think D4 is a good game) SHOULD take a ton of time. It's already simplified in PoE in comparision to what was before. For me, and most PoE players, grind to lvl 100 is actually in a good spot right now. Having a good build at 94/95 already enables you to complete all endgame content so... yeah. Getting to lvl 100 should be a challange on it's own. Don't like the grind? Well... Don't do it. Noone is forcing you. |

" Thanks to Blizzard there is atleast no fkn death penalty in diablo 4 and since they buffed dungeon exp leveling up doesnt feel like a crazy chore now. In POE leveling past 85 feels like you dont play the game anymore it feels like work and this should never be the case when you PLAY a game. Last edited by dan166#3588 on Jul 2, 2023, 4:27:44 PM

Why do people expect to have to get to lvl 100?
POE is a game of imperfection - you will never get the perfect rare - the perfect unique is also very hard to optain (corruptions...) there is always marginal room for improvement, and thats what keeps the game interesting. If you wanna make it to 100 you gotta focus on it and invest the time and/or money. |

" 1. Players, that only play MMOs where the game starts at max lvl. 2. Players, that see others and want to have it too without effort. Last edited by Scarletsword#4354 on Jul 2, 2023, 5:38:06 PM
