Question about elemental weakness and protection mastery

Hello,
I have the protection mastery "your elemental resistances cannot be lowered by curses", but when I enter a map with a mod "players are cursed by elemental weakness" my resistances are still lowered. Did it maybe have a reduced aura effect map mod as well? That would hit your purity of elements giving the same effect.

Tested now, mastery works correctly.

did the map also had -(12-9)% maximum Player Resistances on it?

I've been using this mastery and didn't notice that occurring on curse maps. It might be as the others are saying, another map mod causing the drop off?

Does this affect Kitava's curse a player attempts to kill him the first time? That is, if I have this protection, does Kitava's curse still take out 20 percent of my elemental resistance, or perhaps only affect chaos? Or does it have any effect at all?

Does it affect the debuff to max fire res from the forge the phoenix boss?
I was running the map recently and thought I wasn't affected, but may not of been paying enough attention. I can't test this in ruthless currently unfortunately. |
