Xsolla! The worst thing to happen to this game...

I've just spent 2 hours of the last 16 hours trying to purchase the Lithomancer Support Pack... It keeps being declined by Xsolla with error code 3032.

I tried a different CC - same result.

I contacted xsolla support:

They told me there was a dispute for 19.99 with Roblox. A game no one I know (including myself) has or will ever play. I told them this and
The first support personal asked me to send them a screenshot of my credit card bank statement. I told them that made me uncomfortable and they ended the conversation. I gave up and went to bed.

I tried the purchase again this morning - same error code 3032. I spoke with another xsolla customer service employee through Facebook messenger. They asked me to send a screenshot of transactions for a specific card with dates around September 11 2022. I did and they said it doesn't show the disputed transaction... The one I have already explained doesn't exist because it never happened.

I started wondering 😳 is this a me problem or is this a xsolla problem? So naturally I googled xsolla. They somehow have an A rating with the BBB despite 40 bad reviews on just the BBB site. I checked other sites who have people claiming the same issue I'm facing - xsolla employees insisting to see evidence of things that didn't happen and thus don't exist...

What the fuck are we even doing here???
I wanted to spend money... AGAIN for path of exile. I know I'm not huge donor but this also isn't my first supporter pack... And I have 39 stash tabs that I'm trying to expand on before the sale ends today...

Has anyone had this crap with xsolla resolved in any meaningful or useful way?

Or should I put Pierogi (scammer payback) on this to find out how I (and others) are being fucked out of time (and maybe money?) by xsolla?

I am afraid for this particular error, unfortunately the only way to resolve this is by talking to Xsolla directly - we are unable to resolve this with them on your behalf I'm afraid.

If you still wish to make a purchase, you may be able to do so using either Steam Wallet, by logging into your account on the Steam version of the game or by purchasing "Nexon" cards to make your purchase.
I do have steam installed (but not configured for PoE yet).

Thank you for the help.
I was worried that all methods of payment would be going through them and that they would gatekeep me from this purchase.

Thank you so very much 😊❤️
i wouldnt keep trying so much, even though you get an error the payment might go through and you will get charged multiple times.

as for xsolla, its the main reason why i dont purchase anything from here anymore. they should at least add another option for people who dont want to use this shady company

Xsolla is a massive problem for a lot of people because they are flagged by pretty much every financial institution out there as being high risk.

Because they are used by a lot of gaming companies, what happens is little Johnny uses Mum and Dad's credit card to purchase in game credits without permission. Mum and Dad then contest the charges and the bank rolls it back. It's happened so often that banks have a big red flag next to Xsolla.

When GGG moved away from Stripe and across to Xsolla I made a purchase and my bank immediately suspected fraud and cancelled my card. That's the last time I spent any money with GGG, and I used to make quite frequent purchases with them.

The move to Xsolla was so unpopular that Chris announced that they would be reintroducing Stripe as an option: https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/7ecs25/comment/dq4ilsn/ That was 6 years ago now, but of course shortly after this statement the game was sold to Tencent.

The best solution I can recommend is to follow my lead. There's no need to provide money to GGG to play the game, and if they can't provide a reliable financial partner like they used to have, well they should miss out on the revenue.
at the time, xsolla supported the most payment options, especiallly for the gaming sector.

of course, the gaming sector was nupopular amongst "serious banks" for obvious reasons, so they were careful dealing with xsolla.

eventually, ggg would have moved back to stripe if they were making losses offering more payment options in more countries to gamers, so overall we have to live with them.

and every leecher has their own reasons to not support the game they love anymore i guess
age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!
