Just a few questions about D2jsp...

First of all, I want to state that this is by no means meant to be a complaint or me bitching about the rules.

I started playing PoE about a month ago and I saw people talking about d2jsp trades in game. I opened an Account Recovery through jsp as I had forgotten my password and no longer had access to the email (I hadn't used it since my Diablo 2 days.)

Shortly after I was just browsing trade forums and I realized that in the rules it is specifically mentioned that trading items for forum gold was illegal. This comes as a huge inconvenice to me, as d2jsp was ALL I used back in the day, as there was no legitimate trading system in Diablo 2. I kind of got the same vibe from PoE (the lack of a real trading system) that is. I have done my best to try and use these forums, but it is just a huge inconvenice to be honest. Trade chat is completely out of the question to me, as that is just as bad as trade chat in WoW: it's all spam and people doing everything except trading.

Is the reason that d2jsp is banned because you have the option to buy the currency (forum gold) for real money? If that is the only reason, I get it. It's still a pain in the butt, but I get it, as that would essentially make PoE able to be "Pay to Win."

However, if that is the only reason, is the answer to the ungodly awful trading system in PoE at the moment as simple as creating essentially a mirror system of d2jsp without the option of buying currency for real money?

This seems a very suitable solution in my mind, and maybe GGG is already planning something like this I guess. I would just like a little insight from someone who knows more than myself into the thought process/plans of the trading system in PoE.

***Please do NOT turn this into a forum bashing GGG or PoE, as I have grown extremely fond of both, and that is NOT what I intended with this post***

Trading system needs a LOT of work, I agree. D2jsp does make the game pay to win, but people still use it anyway.

Honestly, I'd like to see them set up a Maplestory or DAOC type system for shops.

Maplestory was a terrible game, but their shop system was genius. Buy a monthly pass through a $2 microtransaction if you're a seller. Set up your shop while you're afk and you can't play while your shop is up. People come in the shop zone that you're in and can browse your shop and buy for the price you have listed. Also, another microtransaction would be a search function, pay 2 dollars for 10 searches. If the search comes up with nothing, then it doesn't use up the search.

DAOC had a great system as well. Monthly in game currency as rent, you got a house that you could set up a shop and people could visit and peruse your items. And there was a way to search for items and it would tell you what lot # the item was on. Then they'd have to run to your house and purchase it there.

Right now, I'm doing the best I can to move stuff I find, and I've had more success than most. My shops layout is very simple and effective, and all items are listed with BiN prices, though people are free to make offers if they wish.

If more people set it up like that, it'd be smoother. Everyone makes a post then abandons it for 5 days, and by that time, the buyers have moved on or bought something else.
It's their game, and their rules. They don't want people using out of game resources to affect their in game experience. If you don't like it, you can find other games to play.
if you use d2jsp to trade ingame items for ingame items i cant see how it would be any problem

aslong as you aint moving any fg

I realize that. Like I said, I am not trying to complain or turn this thread into what you just tried to. Please just move on to the next topic instead of posting stuff like that. Please and thank you.

I had a friend who always played Maplestory and would never shut uo about how the trade system worked. That actually seems brilliant. However, I think that charging money or currency to have the ability to trade would essentially be a "pay to win" strategy as well. Never heard of the other game, sounds neat though!
As long as you dont use FG its ok. Item vs item with jsp as medium is ok as long as FG doesnt trade hands

D2jsp has been a huge resource for me in this game so far. I find things so much faster and with less hassle on jsp than trade chat/forums.

Nobody buys FG. It's not pay-to-win. People just trade for it, nobody buys it anymore. It's really expensive, like 30 dollars for 1000 fg. Nobody buys it, seriously. That's what makes this D2jsp witch hunt so ridiculous.

so very wrong.
I know people that run game item web sites and buy jsp fg to get items to sale on their site all the time.
also ask paul "the guy who owns d2jsp" if people buy FG. It is a income , so he has to report it.
