Blood and Sand stances

I keep seeing these when looking in the passive skill tree, what do they do and how do you get them? I even have a gem skill "Bladestorm" that inflicts bleed in blood stance and makes you move in a whirlwin of attacks in sand stance but i've never figured out how to get into sand stance?

Use wiki and search for stance or sand.
Think skill needed is called "Blood and Sand" or something withh blood or sand. |

You're automatically in Blood Stance regardless if you're using the Blood and Sand gem or not, which is why you're only getting the one effect. Buy the gem from Lilly Roth, and socket it, to change stances.
