Beginner Build as Duelist Dual Wielder

Hello,

I just started playing quite recently. I would like to build a Duelist Dual Wielder and am looking at what options I currently have. I am trying to use Cleave currently, but it feels quite clunky seeing how I have to walk up to every single to hit them at all. In general, it seems like ranged builds or other such AoE builds feel a lot better. Are there any skills that work well off of Dual Wielding that don't need me to walk up to the enemy? Even something like a spin or other such freely positioned AoE around the character sounds like it'd work very well.

Beyond that, is there a way to incorporate Life Leech into this? There is no gameplay reason I would like to do so, it simply sounds interesting.

Every skill like that feels bad in the beginning. Cleave gets a lot bigger if you stick with it (you can wipe entire groups with it later).
Hello, cleave can be a great build for new players. Yes, you do have to go up to and hit monsters, but it will clear mobs and kill bosses. I still use it on some of my level 90+ guys. Support it with faster attacks, melee physical damage when you can. Brutality, pulverize, ruthless all help. There is a mastery that gives you a big bonus for mixing swords and axes. I probably have 3-4 characters that you can look at that use cleave. Some are outdated, but they will give you some ideas. There is even a vaal version of Cleave.
