So, why is explosive concoction nerfed this league?

I played explosive concoction in kalandra and I was THE ONLY level 100 person on poe.ninja playing with that skill, for obvious reasons. It's one of the few skills that are pretty much impossible to make a decent build with, yet I league started with it and killed multiple ubers on it.

Mapping was great and all but the build had very low bossing dps and it was extremely difficult to keep up flask charges during bossing (even though I never used the two flasks in question), since you had to scale edwa and attack speed as crit is not really an option for it. I've just realized that they've hit the skill with a massive nerf this league, rendering flask sustain even more difficult than before, unachievable even.

What the fuck? Why nerf a gem that is played by no one? Didn't GGG say that they don't want to nerf seismic trap because it's not popular enough? So what's the reasoning behind this absurd nerf?

Because it was in proximity to poisonous concoction and got the knock-on nerf :p

pconc was always way stronger though. gmp and greater volley doesn't affect pconc at all, because the hit damage doesnt matter for poison, but it matters for explosive concoction's hit damage. I just can't see how ggg can be this disconnected from the reality of their own game. ignite explosive conc is in fact stronger than it used to be, but that means you have to play elementalist and can't have flask sustain without balbala

another funny thing to note, the explosive concoction crucible mod gives 40% chance to explode enemies, but the explosion deals PHYSICAL DAMAGE. physical damage on a build where you're not even supposed to scale it in any way.

they introducte a league mechanic about weapons having trees and stuff to create powerful builds, then they nerf an unarmed attack skill that can't even have a tree, which is already extremely unpopular because it's garbage

pconc being way stronger was my whole point, all the changes associated with it came because they were knocking pconc down a peg and they share mechanics.

Lazy fix? Absolutely you won't hear me argue, if anything explosive needed a buff.
