Can't see my friend while in a party ?

Hi there,

I am new to this game and yesterday I tried to play with my friend but for some reason.. we could not see each others.

I added him into my friend list, invited him into the party. We are both level 1, starting next to the beach, we both see the corpse on the ground to interact for the first "event/quest" of the game.. but yet, we can't see each others.

We can talk into party chat but we can't see each other while playing.

Is there something i'm missing ?

PS: We both play at the same location, would that be an issue ?

my guess is each of you has to do the first area on yourselves. team play is then posssible from the first encampment.

Thats what I though.. like a prologue or something.

I have been having this issue as well, I can party with friends for almost any quest in the first act, and have not been able to see them despite being in the same area. I have used the party leaders' portal to join an instance for the prison, and can see the items he's had dropped and his health changing, but not him. Anyone know of a fix for this?

Im having that problem too! I cant see my team mates and we have played since lvl 1 to lvl 9, now i cant see them.

same problem here too...I and my friend are in the same zone ( 1 city/camp )

This seems kinda ridiculous guys you mean to tell me that I have to leave a zone instance such as the town then use waypoint control click to get back to proper instance of town so I can see my party??? Does this not put a hardcore character at risk when he has to leave town via waypoint only to come back in proper instance??? And if this is the case and there is no real fix for it then could we at least program some kind of filter so I dont have to look through 5 town instances with 300 names to find witch instance of town my party members are in????
