Died to bug in HC helping friend kill act10 Kitava

Dear Devs and mods

First off, I know the rules; I am playing HC, have been playing PoE since before 1.0 and I know oh so well that characters are not resurrected by mods no matter what. HOWEVER:
I died to a bug, and would like you to consider my case.



I was helping my friend kill Kitava act 10 on my lvl 94 character "AutoFellatioedSanta". Level downscaling was disabled. My character utalizes selfpoison/selfchill and it was probably a bug related to this mechanic that killed me. As you can see on screenshot, it says my character 'committed suicide'. When Kitava was about to die, I died to a very fast degen (>500ms, nearly instant). The character has "Unaffected by Poison while affected by Malevolence" from a Watchers Eye. I am using the crucible mod: "All Damage from Hits with Freezing Pulse and Eye of Winter can Poison". Could the bug be related to this? (since its new).
I have checked every aspect of the situation and my char, whether there was some mechanic I am not aware of, but I haven't found anything that could explain this death. I did not have/use any other sources of self-damage (lifetap, BR, RF, FR etc.) I did not have malevolence bound to a key(so it could not have been untoggled). I had just done some maps before this, so nothing had changed on my char before or during the Kitava-fight.


Dear developers, could you find it in your hearts to look at my case and put my character back to HC? I want AutoFellatioedSanta to have the death he deserves. Not this.

Your dead HC character will not be restored as per GGG policy.

What skills/auras was your friend using? I note that he joined the area prior to your character committing suicide.

Will HC characters not even be restored when its conclusively due to a bug?

My friend was using:
Determination, Vitality, HoI and Precision. He was in grace-timer.
His account is Analboy_14 and his character is named CUCKAPPRENTICESIXNINE. I promise we are well-functioning normal humans despite our names.

Nope, this is a rule where GGG doesn't make any exceptions !!

We can not restore dead hardcore characters or lost items for any reason. This is a general policy and we do not make exceptions.
