Flesh and Stone, take less damage is not scaled by aura effect as intended

You take (11-15)% less Damage from Attacks from Enemies that aren't nearby while in Sand Stance

I tested it with standard character with legacy gear with 100% increased aura effect.

but I only take 15% less Damage from non-nearby Enemies, not 30%.

I think it should be scaled by aura effect?

"Not scaled by aura effect as intended" implies that it is intended.

The less damage taken is a buff from the stance, not attached to or affected by increases or reductions to aura effect.

the correct answer should be despite Flesh and Stone in either stance has buff icon, it actually affect enemy not you (and then you indirectly affected), so that it cannot scale by mod that worded as "increased effect of aura " or similar

It is not really about the wording, it is more about how they code.


Given skitterbot is not count as minion actually , who knows the blind part is aura but affecting enemies only, or coded as something else.

And then the outside nearby radius, take less damage part, it is a weird infinite radius aura but excluding the area that overlap with blind aura. Or just lazy coding that you have a buff (so that it is not "aura") to take less damage but nearby enemies has hidden more damage buff from the blind aura so that cancel out.....

anyway it is a Stance skill with a weird Aura gem tag, unlike Pride which has aura gem tag as well as unique item reserved for true aura skill such as Watcher's Eye, Sublime Vision and Aul's Uprising

You're probably right here, this is a better way to explain it. In any case, the best way to test this would be "Blood and Sand Buff effect" enchant + Eldritch chestpiece, and testing "increased effect of non-curse auras from your skills on enemies", such as in the banner wheels near duelist or the Delve-exclusive mod on gloves.

I would be hesitant to justify it this way since Pride affects enemies and not you, but scales with both generic Aura effect and Effect of Auras on Enemies.
Also it is way too terrible that the less damage part probably not affecting allies, like other true aura skill, according to gem text (i haven't really test it anyway)

the blind part is fine as its affect enemies

As you can see they have no values to scale, you can't increase the fact that enemies are maimed or blinded.
