5 link recipe location and a few noob questions.

Hello, newer player here.

I'm looking to get the 5 link recipe. In the WiKi it says this is found in the Crater map. When I look up the Crater map it lists it historically anywhere between T2 up to T14 map level, with the most recent being for "Forbidden Sanctum" league.

Just curious where Crater map falls in "Crucible" league. I am running T4 maps and hoping I will come across it soon.

And the noob questions,

What is a META build, (or what is considered a META build)?

What is T1 or T2 level crafting? I saw this in another post where it was said the crafting bench is manly for campaign, but to get higher levels you need T1 or T2 level crafting.

Thanks.

Now the recipe for 5-link is on the Jungle Valley Map (T12).
Thanks, seaman.

Guess I have a ways to go still. Just did my first T6 map today. Maven showed up, confused the heck out of me until I realized what was happening.

'Meta' or 'the meta' is used to refer to the most popular builds in a league. Usually they are popular because they are strong (either scaling well or performing well on a low budget, or both), but sometimes builds are popular because content creators hype them up.

Some examples of meta builds this league are Tornado Shot and Lightning Arrow Deadeye, and Spectral Shield Throw (either Champion or other ascendancy)

Could you find the actual quote for this? The 'tier' of a mod controls how high the value can be - for example, tier 1 fire resistance (called T1) can roll from 46 to 48%, whereas tier 3 can only roll from 36 to 41%, and the benchcraft option only up to 35% on armour pieces and 28% on jewellery.

It's possible that they were saying you want to have lots of T1 and T2 mods on an item. Higher level crafting techniques aren't referred to as T1 or T2.
Thanks graciecevall.

PurpleChakra,

I looked around but can't find the thread I saw that in. I probably worded it incorrectly. I will keep looking when I have more time.

Right now I am having too much fun making my own builds with my limited knowledge.

Thanks for your help.

What they basically meant was you are only getting at most the equivalent of t3 rolls if you only use the bench to add a missing mod that you desire. In order to get t1/t2 rolls, you'd have to alt/essence/fossil/harvest/aisling spam or something like that.
