Reap VS Bladefall ?

Been wanting to do a Physical to cold spell build. Reap seems to be a popular due to its very high base damage. I play around with Reap and Bladefall and I feel Bladefall clears faster.

Bladefall's base damage is less but doesn't it have a chance to overlap a few times?

What's your thought?

And also, I don't like casting Blade Blast. Am I gimping myself by not using Blade Blast as a Bladefall user?

While we are on the Bladefall topic, does anyone know the crucible passive "15% chance for Bladefall to affect the same area" mean it's basically a "double cast" or it's just one more layer of Bladefall? If it's just one more layer, it's not good as the damage is "less". I am hoping it means there is 15% chance that Bladefall casts one more time (5 more layers).

Reap overlaps too as you can cascade it and it has a self scaling multiplier via blood charges + costs life instead of mana so you can full reserve.

Bladefall has similar mechanics and is perfectly usable I might add so you should really stick with which one you prefer.

You may as well have a 4l bladeblast if you are using bladefall though its just a free damage spike whenever you want it if you have the gem slots available.

The crucible passive makes it repeat, so its basically 15% more dps.
