Petrified Blood
I was playing around in my pursue to get as tanky as can be.
So i switched some skills and jewels. Thats the result. ![]() But part of the skill descriptions of Petrified Blood and Dissolution of Flesh are both red. For what i know that means its not calculated, right? Could this be the reason why im now twice as exposed to degen than before? But the main Question is, why is my unreserved Life higher than before? Petrified Blood reduces it by 50% and Dissoloution of Flesh increased it by 20-30%. That whole combo shouldnt even work, when its over 50%, right? Im bad at math. Last bumped on May 17, 2023, 8:36:43 AM

PB does not reduce your unreserved life/mana. It reservers 50% of it, not counting any reservation efficiency. No matter how much life you have, it will reserve 50%. If you have 3k life it will reserve 1,5k, if you have 6k life it will reserve 3k.
Dissolution of the flesh has a more life multiplier giving you a higher base life. The reason that your unreserved life percentage is now higher is likely because you have vitality or precision active reserving an absolute amount of life, they are not percentage based. If you reserve 300 life on a 3k life build that's 90% life left unreserved. Do the same on a 6k life build an you'll have 95% life left unreserved because 300 life from 6000 is only 5% instead of 10%. Your degen being higher is likely because the degen is percentage based on your life total. If you double your life total your degen doubles as well. Btw you are aware of how dissolution of the fleshs downside works right? You can't just compare POBs like that. Last edited by Baharoth15#0429 on May 17, 2023, 3:33:49 AM

I understand nothing. Always sucked with math.
But you mean that numbers add up and im tankier than before, although my resis are lower? Im bad at math.

I am not entirely sure right now how dissolution of the flesh works but i think that construct of yours won't work at all. The degen you take will continually reserve your life until all of it is reserved and you die. That's why i said you can't just compare POB stats like that. You've got to consider how parts of the build interact with each other.

ok, i just buy that thing an test it.
After that we are probably smarter. tbc edit: doesnt work. Dissolution of Flesh alone (without Petrified Blood) drains my life until RF shuts down. What makes no sense to me. I never stop taking damage, so as described, it should stay reserved. Thats the video that hooked me up with that idea https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Nvc43buj-8 Im bad at math. I think you are misreading dissolution of the flesh. Any damage you take instead reserves that much life until you don't take damage for 2 seconds. Since RF is damaging you continouesly the reservation never resets and when all but 1 life is reserved RF shuts down, better than i expected i thought you'd just die but doesn't really matter. It works similarly to ES recharge, just that the recharge is instant.
/edit the crucial thing you probably aren't aware of is that reserving 100% of your life kills you. If RF didn't shut down when it does you'd die. Last edited by Baharoth15#0429 on May 17, 2023, 7:36:42 AM
