My inability to find a build is ruining my game experience, please help!

I started this league following Pohx's RF guide for the second time, first being a couple league's back. While it went well, I realized I wanted something that is an equally fast mapper but better at bosses which made me pick up Lightning Arrow Deadeye. This solved my problems and allowed me to complete most my atlas, farm a small handful of currency, about 40 divine in a few days, and pay for boss kills to complete my atlas. While I liked the speed and AoE clear that it brought, I didn't invest much of it into my build as I quickly realized that the glass cannon playstyle just isn't for me, especially after coming from the tanky Righteous Fire build. If interested in how far I got with the build here's the pob: https://pobb.in/CXtVAHgQcRmq

For the last few days I've been on the search for a new build that could fit my play style of mapping, something that's tankier than deadeye (doesn't need to be as tanky as the RF build though..) and able to do more than adequate boss damage for the end of maps and occasional end-game bosses. I found several builds that fit the playstyle like Cast on Crit Forbidden Rite, Impending Doom Occultist, Flicker Strike, and Ethereal Knives Elementalist to name a few. Each of them of course have their own pro's and con's but the problem I'm facing is my lack of game knowledge. Most of the ones I just listed had "not beginner friendly" in the build guides which scares me off as I feel I still have a pretty beginner level of knowledge, game mechanics and build interactions. Others state that they're beyond my budget and many others simply just didn't fit the playstyle I was looking for.

For the last 3 days I've probably put over 10 hours just looking at different builds instead of playing the game which is upsetting me because I love the game, but I don't want to keep playing my Lightning Arrow Deadeye as it's just too squishy for me. I'm stuck in a loop of finding new builds that I don't necessarily understand well enough to give a try as I'm worried that they won't give my what I'm looking for again. I don't want to keep rerolling.

I need some help. Any suggestions to builds that could better fit my mapping playstlye with a bit of tankiness so I'm not constantly getting 1-shot and using 4 or more of my portals each map as well as enough single target DPS to clear the healthiest of map mobs/bosses. My goal is eventually 80% deli maps, I love being able to clear large hoards of monsters while speeding through, trying to complete and loot maps in the fastest way I can.

I'm open to all suggestions, willing to level a new character and even farm a bit more currency first to fund the new build if needed. I'm excited to hear what everyone has to recommend!

You could always give Kelvynn's Whispering Ice Trickster a try, he has a great build guide

Totens will help you~
Explosive ones.
You won't regret it.
Perhaps too similar to what you already have played, but I'm doing a slightly self-modified Champion Lightning Arrow build. Feels pretty solid, and damage has been okay so far. Starting to feel the pinch now, especially against some rares and essence monsters, but it's been surprisingly fun.

This probably isn't the original code, I just generated it in PoB from the original, but all the notes are there, so should be useful. I'm far from at that stage, tho, but working my way through yellow maps while trying to improve gear with stuff I find.

It should be more survivable than with a Deadeye, but I suppose the damage may be lower. I couldn't be bothered with the weapon swap (it's cancer on PS5), but maybe you could stomach that on PC for much higher damage (but less security if you get a near-death experience).

I picked up more life and some regen, as I was so incredibly fed up of dying and losing hours of XP, so wanted to try something with many layers of defence, and then added more life and regen on top.
