Option to never see Betrayal ever again.
|
I was really hoping to see an option within the atlas skills to remove Betrayal encounters - maybe I'm alone, but I'm not a fan of being jumped randomly by these mobs and their graphical diarrhea. It's gotten to the point where I just abandon the map and move on to the next.

this was in the concepts posted before they ever added the atlas tree, it was in fact the point of the posted ideas so that people weren't forced to do stuff like alva-temples or even betrayal because some builds or peoples playstyles just don't vibe well with them.
It's never felt right to me, Sometimes i just want alva to go away until im ready to time travel. Perhaps they could introduce (this is loosely based off another forum users post) something like voidstones for the masters that for each one you place or at a threshhold gives you a unique buff to that content and reduces the other masters apperance rate by a percentage down to 0 if you have all of them, they could also interact with eachother to enhance multiple content routes at once while also disabling the other masters mission. There's room for masters that you have to farm into with this as well, non-default master replacements and in order to interact with these special masters you have to disable the others by a percent up to 0 depending on how frequently you want to interact with it. I think ur missing out tho OP, Maybe its just not for you but the utility it provides even for brief investment early on such as 30% quality, white sockets, gem exp and some other really cool stuff that as long as you can complete the encounters even in white maps are really rewarding not to mention all the crafts you can get that'l help later on.
If safehouses were tradeable would you run those? Innocence forgives you

Same here. It's really painful at the league start when you want to get some levels or you are just weak and 3 "bosses" randomly appear and follow you indefinitely forcing you to choose between trying to fight them and probably die or just leaving the map.
I would appreciate to have another Block/+2% nodes for master's content or just make betrayal assasination same as everything else = you can run away from it. |

" I think you are the one missing the point here. Even blight can be rewarding, but I prefer to have cancer on my butt than do it (or expedition) . In other words, not every side content from the game is for every one and/or every build. ... Betrayal used to be worse for me, not because it was difficult, but because the mapping load got way to long, and again also when they apear the lag was insanely bad. More memory and SSD solve the problem, but I still don't like to do it. So yeah, being able to get rid of them in a map is not a bad idea at all. @OP, for now, what U can do is select another master mission, if you want. If U choose Niko, for example, Betrail will not show up. Exiles, pffff! Last edited by TrunksD2#2172 on May 9, 2023, 3:06:15 PM

" I get the point exactly actually being one of the people posting for years on this very topic including the addition of the atlas tree and requested exactly what is being requested here for the exact same reasons its being requested here, My second post was just to make sure the OP was aware of some of the awesome benefits of betrayal :P I am 100% behind the topic and your woes. "But they (kind of) did add this feature to the Atlas. Just play Ruthless. (Or use a Niko scarab?) (And if safehouses are at 100% those dont show up. Dont know if 4x 100% permanently prevents Jun. But even if not the combination with 10% safehouse at map completion should prevent almost all random Jun missions.) No wonder it's lost, it's in the middle of the jungle!

" I am currently playing ruthless HC and it's really brought life back to the game for me, one of the most positive additions to PoE I've experienced since the beginning. I could be wrong but I thought veiled mods were removed for Ruthless other than uniques? In which case, why am I dealing with these encounters? Originally I tried really hard to like Betrayal when it first released but it was too convoluted and the UI for HC was just plain stupid - blind me to the world while I make a choice about kill/interrogate/release? It's beside my original point but PoE has gotten so bloated, returning to play ruthless has been a breath of fresh air but my experience is quickly getting smothered by the same bloat and power creep I wanted to escape in this game. |

"You are not wrong. "Maybe you forgot to allocate 'Stream of Consciousness'? (But Kirac missions may still have Betrayal... Somehow I forgot if Kirac missions can have Masters in them then in Ruthless or no...) "Never understood these design decisions either... No wonder it's lost, it's in the middle of the jungle!
