We should be able to upgrade lower tier eldritch Ichor and embers to higher tier 3 to 1.

It was baffling to me when I've learned that I can't do this for the first time. And it's weird to me still.
If gaming taught me anything, it's that you can combine several lower thingies into one big thing. And then several big things into one megathing. PoE also uses this mechanic with flasks, essences, oils, scarabs, some divination cards. At this point you expect to be able to do this (one way or another), when you have similar items of different tiers. Otherwise lower tiers become obsolete in the late game. makes sense with many other mechanics +1
i use all of them as fast as i get em, deciding wither or not to use the lower tiers or upgrade would be a nice element. Innocence forgives you

Its to limit access to the greater tiers and force you to choose high expense or pleb tier rerolls.
Honestly it works exactly as designed I really doubt they will 3-1 this one. |
