Lost my The Maven’s Writ

Here's what happened, at exactly 4:56 PM (EST) I threw the maven's writ in my map device. The portal spawned. I got DC, logged back in, went to my hideout to find the "old" portals still up (Maven's crucible) but the Absence of empathy and whatever it is are gone. (My Maven's writ too). Am I out of 1Div GGG? Anything I can do to get at least my item back?

I feel your pain. I too had the DC.

Was in Crucible and loaded my beloved bow into the crucible, but slightly before I was getting an error saying something about achievements...
Then got the DC you're talking about - approx 21:55gmt
Loaded back in, but had trouble getting into my hideout, it just didn't let me, said it was going to take me but didn't.
Then when I logged back in, no portals for the crucible were up (only 1 used previously), and the bow was gone.

I think this was something GGG was doing in preparation for the ExileCon qualifier. No chance of getting any item back :(

Well, I'm not aware of GGG's policy on losses caused by the servers. I still have a hint of hope that some (if not all) items will be given back to users.

It's the stated policy of GGG not to do ANY kind of ingame refunds / restores for ANY reason in regards to ingame items / currency and so on.

So nothing will be returned to you.
