Atziri's Reflection Broken?

Atziri's Reflection does not make the player unnafected from curses. Rolled "Players are cursed with Elemental weakness" on my map and when I enter the map my resistances are lowered. The help text on the item states that "Debuffs you are Unaffected by can still be placed on you, but will not actually apply their effect" but that does not seem to be correct if my resistances get lowered if i have Elemental weakness on me.

Was that the only modifier on the map?
Did the map maybe have other modifiers, like -max player resistances, or reduced aura effect if you were using Purity of Elements? |
