question - heist nodes on the atlas passive tree

hello there! i have a simple question: do the nodes on the atlas passive tree which states "your maps have + #% chance to contain a smuggler's cache" have the same effect of the sextant modifier "area contains a smuggler's cache"?
if i'm using that sextant, would it be the same as "your maps have + 100% chance to contain a smuggler's cache?", or is it generating another smuggler's cache on top of the other, just like the modifier "additional smuggler's cache chance"?

i've been looking for this information, and couldn't find any reliable answer as of yet. i hope i'll find it here. thank you!

sextant is separate from random spawns, same with the kirac mod on map device.
