Is there a reason why I'm not getting any white/blue quivers to purchase from vendors?
Quivers almost never seem to drop for me too, and when they do, they're of a crappy ilevel. I'm still using a level 14 yellow quiver at 34 (ilevel 34). Common quiver drops from monsters (white or blue) so far have been of ilevel 34 or worse, since I got my fancy yellow quiver many many levels ago. Also, why do quivers in general have such low level requirements? An ilevel 33 quiver has a level 9 requirement - and it's dropping from a level 34 zone in cruel and comes with fairly lame stats. Well, whatever - it makes twinking easier. But errm, I'm rambling here - quivers should be available to purchase from shops, no? My apologies. I have been getting them. So, its because I am getting them that you are not.
I do get them, generally 1 yellow for every 3-4 zones cleared. I clear some of the same zones repeatedly, so I see these alot... But I can tell you that the characters with the highest Magic Find / Quantiy Items are the ones I find them on...Witch / Shade...so I do not know if off class is the trigger or the actual Magic / Quantity mods are the trigger. OS: WinXP SP2 32bit

Quivers in general seem to be glorified rings. I'd love it if they had some unique mods on them - since they're very very specific equipment. You only ever see them with someone wielding a bow.
I'd love to see some quivers that cause your arrows to behave differently (reduced projectile speed, but perhaps they bounce off walls once?), change the model/size of your projectile or have other effects that could make the "pierce" passive skill actually useful? It's seldom often that enemy monsters line up for you. What about a quiver that turns your arrow into a "boomerang" - a projectile firing then returning to you shortly after being fired. Yes, quivers should be shoppable in the exact same way belts, rings, flasks, and amulets are. |
