How to make Dominating Blow not suck

# let me spawn sentinels on hit

- 25% when you hit normal mobs
- 50% when you hit magic mobs
- 75% when you hit rare mobs
- 100% when you hit unique mobs

# let their kills refresh their duration

When i have some sentinels, they'll kill things before i can hit mobs, so they won't have the debuff, therefore nothing will spawn

If you only have 1 sentinel, and he kills everything, then you won't spawn anything and if he only had 1 sec left, then you'll end up with no mobs, no sentinels, making your next fight a pain in the butt

either:

- make sentinel kills to refresh their duration
- make sentinel hits to apply the debuff


# improve the player strike (name locking):

This is more of a problem with your game than the skill itself

So you either fix your game, or improve the skill


either:

- change % quality, at 20% gives extra strike target

or

- at gem lvl 20 give extra strike target

or

- remove the strike, make it like Cleave


# improve the visual clarity:

When all my sentinels are up, i can't see shit

When all my vaal sentinels are up, i burn my eyes

Reduce the bloom on their VFX, and reduce the size of the vaal sentinels


# conclusion:

Skill looks cool, feels good when you have all your sentinels

Skill is bad to progress, there is no middle ground between: dog shit <-> endgame viable

Skill is melee to use, therefore bad to use

Skill is minion, therefore good to use when everything is setup

If you like to take your time during map, to loot and ID items, to go back to hideout to store items, so plan your encounters (blight/betrayal/crucible), then this skill will punish you for engaging with the game slower, since sentinels only last 20sec and are a pain in the butt to spawn

Absolution is clear improvement over Dominating Blow, plus it is a ranged skill, still suffer same design flaws, but not as bad as DB

SRS = 10x more damage, 10x less DoL and yet it is a melee minion but player is not melee! (DoL = Degradation of Life, as opposed to QoL, Quality of Life)

Huh? Dominating Blow linked to Behead Support is amazing. When you kill a rare, not only do you get one of its mods, but you also summon a minion with that mod.
It's like a group-Headhunter.
RIP dominating blow, What we have now is just herald of purity with a headhunter.

I want Dominating blow to be a STR minion archetype, You dominate living creatures with your strength, you impress upon them that they will die if they do not serve you essentially.

Get rid of the headhunter meme, move that sentinel of purity stuff to its own skill where it belongs.

depending on the minions you have you would be buffed (you are the commander of a living army) and as such that stupid timer would be gone.. your limit would be the amount of soldiers you could command and various equipment modifying their behavior in unique ways other minions won't behave such as holding a formation.

Change the type of skill to a Hybrid Attack/Channel where if you click once you attack but if you hold it down past that it will charge up increasing the damage of the hit and allowing for timing your hits for various situations.. the skill would dominate white enemys by default if you have none but if you channel it then you would be able to dominate blue and yellow enemys.

That would feel much more like a dominating blow to me :x
