Does Vaal Orb weapon skin work on sceptre？

today the vaal theme cosmetic is on sale
i want to buy Vaal Orb weapon skin
but i am not sure whether it work on sceptre
and if yes, it shows the sword appearance or axe?
any guy who have this skin could solve my confusion

i have gotten the' answer from a kind player in game
yes it works on sceptre,but it shiows the axe appearance

there are many old cosmetic skin which donot have the weapon appearance
like the vaal orb weapon
when i use the sceptre, it shows the axe, honestly i prefer the sword appearance, it fit my combination of skin
hope you spend some time to fix these old problem，or add a option to choose the appearance
