Do blight nodes on the atlas tree make blights harder?

Topic. I'm struggling with blights and wondering if I can tone it down a bit.

You can allocate the nodes with "reduced tower price" on the bottom of the atlas tree, and the nodes with "Blight monsters take XX increased damage".

For blight maps, just anoint them with the 3 lowest tier oils, preferably the 3x the one that makes towers cheaper.

Is it this node that's making it harder? I thought it would be easier with this one but maybe I was wrong?

Yeah, immune response is "more mess for more rewards" node. But if you wish to get meaningful rewards from blight at all, you should still take this node, as well as node that make blight chest rewards lucky and "add additional rewards". It is other nodes that are optional, e.g. take blighted mobs take increased damage, reduced tower cost and more tower damage only if you are struggling.

Build-wise, any corpse explode mechanic is great for blights because of how tightly mobs are clustered. I use herald of ice with aoe freeze proliferation skills, and it literally chainshatters whole lines of mobs without me even having to hit each of them. Also, pick the right tower strategy. I'd recommend meteor and arc towers with their "repeat" anoints, as the best dps ones. CC towers aren't so great because of how many mobs are there with immune response, you should aim to kill them faster, not to delay them.
Alright, thanks.
"Your chilling towers freeze enemies" and "meteor tower creates a burning ground" ring anoints makes blight a cake walk including the uber-blight maps.
