New player, Stuck on the way forward quest

New player that just started, trying to enter the forest but every time i reset the instance its just blocked, i read that some blackguard guy is supposed to spawn and i kill him to open the seal, but he never does, i've reset the instance for about 4 times now and l cleared every mob so far and nothing, what do i do.

You finish that one from the other side, from within the forest itself in Act 2. Just keep progressing your other quests in Act 1 and move on into Act 2, and you'll finish this one up later when you get where you need to be for it.

It's fine dude. That quest doesn't exactly make it clear where to go or that you need to move on to entirely separate part of the campaign to finish it. You're definitely not the first to be stumped by it, and you won't be the last... :)
