Recieving 6 mod abyss jewels from Blight

I have corrupted Gaze specced on my atlas tree with no blight mods or scarabs of any type. I completed a blight map and opened one of the jewellery reward chests and got a 6 mod abyss jewel from the chest. Based on the wording of Corrupted Gaze that should not be possible because Corrupted Gaze specifies that only Abyss jewels found in Abyssal Troves or Stygian Spires have a chance to be 5 or 6 mod jewels.
