Please make Crucible go core
|
Hello, I just wanted to express to GGG that I believe Crucible should go core for a few different reasons.
1. Accessibility - Giving players access to crucible trees provides a more obvious/direct source of power for newer players. Damage scaling in this game can require esoteric knowledge or technical understanding of how to scale damage. Having a very obvious source of power to smooth out the progression from white to red maps is, I think, a very good thing. 2. SSF - Similar to my first point, the benefit crucible provides to an average SSF player is substantial. For an SSF player, the journey through the atlas takes a bit longer. Having an extra source of power that allows you to push deeper, sooner cuts out some of the "raw grinding" time that you are choosing to sign up for when you pick SSF. 3. Feel - While the mechanic needs a bit of refinement in its current state, it is a simple and direct mechanic that feels like it would fit in the late game mapping loop. I mean this in the same way that ritual "fits" in mapping due to its straightforward design (as compared to the complexity of heist for example). Overall my take is that the mechanic needs its numbers tweaked a little but feels right for the game long term. Last bumped on May 9, 2023, 1:27:43 AM

0 chances, seeing their current track record for the last 6 leagues, not to mention divine printing technique or the harvest level powercreep it brings to the table.

That'd be nice, but then they'll have to boost monster hp by another 200% because this is too much power creep.

Would love finally a league making it into core game. Crucible seems to be made for standard anyway. Its mostly for end game and making "your weapon".

I think Crucible should definitely go core, or else standard players and league players will have a very noticeable power difference on weapons, it won't be fair to the players that didn't have time to play the crucible. They can just raise monster health by like 10% or more and make them drop more loot and it'll be fine.
Crucible is a very good mechanic that would fit well into the path of exile end-game. If it doesn't go core, standard players will have to spend an absurd amount of currency to mirror their dream weapon or shield which isn't good. |

Feels like it was specifically built as an "alright everyone, we have to have a league mechanic that definitely gets added to the core game".
It's not mindblowingly spectacular in itself but neither are essences or strongboxes or shrines, and that's fine. Crucible seems like that kind of thing, a simple quick point of interest on the map that does something unique. |

" Sorry, your explody totems will not go core. |

+1 to core
just remove the broken stuff and leave the unique functions that enable new build archetypes. add better downsides for some of the buffs to even things out. I made a build for a friend this league its not the most OP thing but its exactly what he described and i used a combination of crucible passives to make it, The system has a lot of promise and it did legitimately make the leveling grind much more interesting (if one is able to clear the forges) This whole titan business could really go somewhere lore wise too, that is the biggest loss for me from previous mechanics not going core, the team did really great work on that stuff on all ends even if the leagues weren't received well and that itself is kind of heartbreaking to see some of GGG's best work float away in the wind. LoL. GGG doesn't give a shit about new players nor SSF. Also the most absurd power creep in recent years, with in conjunction to synth implicit is a resounding and firm "fuck no".
Ruthless should be [Removed by Support].

I hope it goes core in some way, at least with some tweaks and changes.
The few extra stats are quite handy and also allow some builds to work with different approaches. It's also fun to have a purpose to chance orb a perfect unique for the crucible tree and not just to have a double influence "glamour" item equipped Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.
