Early crashes on linux steam, dispite sufficent resources

Thank you in advance for your help.

My game is crashing:
1) during fights
2) when zooming out using the passive skill tree
3) when entering new areas.

I've not run into this issue in my previous 130 hours. I've just reinstalled and started a new character, and now get this issue.

The Client.txt log does not show any errors or problem reports, just shows normal functioning, then abruptly ends at the crash.

I am running at lowest settings. I have tried both the directx11 and vulcan renderers. I have tried running with steam as normal, and forcing a specific version of Proton. I have tried playing without any other applications running at the same time.

My system information follows. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Is Solus still a thing?

Their forum (https://discuss.getsol.us, right?) won't load for me, and they've disappeared from the top 100 on DistroWatch's home page. I wasn't one to declare it dead the instant we found out that Ikey had stepped back from the project, but I'm not seeing signs of life over there...

How much RAM does your system have? The system report you posted is suggesting an awkward amount, somewhat lower than your card's 8 GB of VRAM. It's been a while since I've looked at one of those, but I don't remember seeing weird numbers being shown there.
https://getsol.us/help 404s (I got the link from the header on (https://getsol.us/)

isitdownrightnow.com suggests the forum being down isn't just a brief outage;

Looking at https://old.reddit.com/r/SolusProject/, it seems there's still somewhat of a community there - but the discussion is mutinous. On the first page we see talk of people "abandoning ship", multiple posts calling for Solus to be forked, criticism of the team behind the distro, and people just generally being concerned for its future.

I used Solus. It's desperately sad to see the distro in such a dire state. But to be blunt - this team can't handle a website. You absolutely should not be relying on them for an Operating System.

GGG don't support Linux. It seems few to no people support Solus specifically on any level. I'm sorry, but I don't see the thread going the way you'd like. It's time to roll something else.

Wow, I wasn't aware solus was in a state of disarray. Perhaps it's time to switch. Neverless, it seems unlikely that that's the problem.
With the update that came out today, the game now only crashes once every 30-50 minutes, which is much better.
Now that I'm in the forest, I'm up to crashes every 10 minutes, which isn't awesome. I look forward to the next update.
With the newest updates, I'm able to play for around an hour between crashes. I'm up to the garden so far.
I am having the same issue playing via Steam Proton with the following specs:

OS: Arch Linux x86_64
Kernel: 6.2.12-arch1-1
CPU: 11th Gen Intel i9-11900H (16) @ 4.800GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Laptop GPU
