Body armor does not provide accurate life

I've been running tabula rasa and was about to swap if to a new body armor. When doing so the new body armor does not provide me the life roll it has. Instead I loose life maximum life? The other rolls seems to be doing what the should. I tried with another armor that also has life and it only gives me +9 max life instead after swap when it has +125 flat.
