Crucible multiplayer

How about improving the crucible for multiplayer? It's really messy as is.


Problem 1 - The meter increases extremely fast when all players hold the button, usually leading to a full meter. Then we gotta deal with stupidly powerful crucible monsters with multiplayer modifiers. They're able to one-shot my teammates in early acts. It's just silly.

Problem 2 - Having only one party member hold down the button can lead to other party members getting less/no item experience.

Problem 3 - Lack of rewards. We get maybe 1 RNG item "upgrade" for each crucible battle, which takes 5+ minutes.

Problem 4 - What if only 2/3 of my group's players have upgradable items? Playing an event where one player misses out would be douchy af.


Solution 1 - Make the crucible more rewarding. Give upgradable weapons/shields and currency. Give item drops that let us upgrade unique items without having to wait till late game.

Solution 2 - Add a bonus reward for players that are unable or choose not to add an item to the crucible.

Solution 3 - Change the button holding thing. Why not keep things simple and straightforward? Four options. 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%.

Solution 4 - Give full control of crucible difficulty to the player that opens it in multiplayer. Everyone inserts their item while one person decides.
