Slayer Boneshatter and attack speed + more

1. The speed thing
I just saw a vid about Boneshatter where the dude said attack speed is "bad" because it builds up trauma stacks too fast untill the point its kills the player.

he favored multi strike which in his "i tested it" opinion generates only one Trauma stack despite the 2 additional repeats.
Plus he suggested to reduce the attack speed in favor of x% chance to deal double damage.

is he right?

2. The Evasion Mysterium
Something wrong with this node. At least it doesnt work as advertised.
My hideout chance to evade is 70% which drops down to 63% in combat (while having Onslaught).
My armour goes up though like intended.
Why is that



3. The life bar flicker strike
I constantly need to press 2 life flasks cause my life bar goes up and down like a pinball machine.
Although i even had too many life leech nodes as i found out so whats the problem? Or do i have just to little life with 2.5k (Level 67, Act 8)

For Boneshatter, trauma stacks are where you get your ramping damage, so I would disagree with the advice given to you that attack speed is bad.

In order to make it work on slayer, you need a lot of armour and a lot of life plus leech. Until you have really good gear for all of that, you are best off using a Level 8 boneshatter gem. This is because Level 8 is where the 2% more damage per trauma stack becomes 3% (this stays 3% until you hit Level 20 gem). The advantage here is that instead of the 105 self-damage you are currently taking from a Level 17 gem, you will take 31 self-damage, which is substantially less (and therefore much easier to sustain at low levels and gear). The damage lost is peanuts because the additional trauma stacks you are able to sustain (due to taking much less per) more than makes up for that difference.
