Game crashing in the final lab room. Can't get last 2 ascendancy points

I run the entire lab with no problem, after killing Izaro for the last time and entering the room with the chests the game crashes if I move towards the ascendancy altar.

Happened once in Merc lab, I ran it again and it worked.

Now I just lost both my offerings I had because BOTH crashed the same way.

Looks like there is a issue with the altar itself, if I get closer to it the game just closes.

Also, the game sometimes randomly closes when I open the Kirac Pass notification on top of XP bar.


Very frustrating, I literally can't get my last 2 ascendancy points. It will literally make me skip a week on league start because I don't want to deal with untested bs.

Crashed twice in lab today too. Really annoying. Once after I had opened the first treasure chest. SIGH.

Happened to me aswell crashed twice in uber lab did a normal lab after to see if it always crashes and there everything was normal. Pretty frustrating for sure

same, in merc lab... guess I'm doing lab after kitava and maps...

I am also crashing to windows in uber lab treasure room. Tried twice. Same result. Did have a little ps buffer error window pop up on crash.

Was running dx 11 when it crashed. Swapped over to vulkan and tried again and i didnt crash.

I changed to Vulkan and it also fixed it. Who knows if it "solved" the problem for reals, but I was able to ascend at least once.

AMD RX 6700 XT

This install of Windows (and PoE) used to have an Nvidia GTX 1650 Ti before I changed over to this system. I don't know if that can (or should) matter. The first time I launched the game after switching the system over it did a cache clearing screen and finished successfully.

Happened to me too, i crashed twice today in the uber lab final reward room

This "failed to select PS Buffer" seems to have been tied to DX11 in the past so going to try vulkan or DX12 when I get yet another offering.

Same issue for me on normal lab today. Crasehd few times arleady. On dx11,vulcan,dx12 beta. On last room with chests.

This happened to me as well today. Twice on DX11 at the same spot in the treasure room. It worked finally on Vulcan. It seems to be highly reproducible across multiple users.

This should be EXTREMELY HIGH PRIORITY as there is a huge opportunity cost in doing lab, and crashing at the final boss WITHOUT getting your last ascendancy is huge. In addition, there is no notice saying warning users about this issue, so users think it's their own computer having troubles and will repeatedly try again. I have never been more pissed at a POE league start than this, especially since today's uber lab is complex.

At this point, this should be recognized as a known issue and treated as high priority.
