Is the undocumented formless inferno change "Minion Life is increased by Overcapped Fire Resistance" to "Minion Life is increased by their Overcapped Fire Resistance" intended or a mistake?

its a completly different mechanic and i started a build around it...
Also it doenst make much sense thematic wise.
The base form Formless Flame gives you a bonus for stacking your fire resistance while reducing it at the same time. Makes sense.

The Formless inferno gives you also negative fire resistance, but instead of incentivizing you to stack fire resistence, it is now based on the minions fire resistance? that sounds more like a mistake than it being wronlgy worded before.

patch notes always scam....a lot of unique item change are not actually documented . Always check the actual item in-game after league live. aka no theoretical build

I do hope that they either change it to scale off of the players Fire res for minion HP, either by changing the current item or introducing a replica version.

I like The Baron because it allows you to focus on a singular character stat to buff your minions. Gives you a simple number to chase.

The resulting mechanics mean that The Baron is best for keeping your minions alive and interacting with Physical Damage, not Popcorn.

Was looking at the Formless Inferno when the Patch Notes said it would allow Player Fire Res focusing to buff minion HP as it also allowed you to focus on a singular character stat to buff your minions, seemingly around popcorn given the focus on HP amp over the 100% increased Phys damage from shared strength (at 1000 Str) from The Baron.

The way it interacted with other things got me wondering if it would allow Zombies to essentially become tactical Nukes when combined with Mon'tregul's Grasp. Focusing on Minion Instability and Fire Damage.



As it is though, just buffing minion HP off of Minion Fire Res means there's less impact to character itemization/passive allocation.

Good for simplicity, not great for experimentation/far reaching changes to character build focus.

Hope it at the very least gets a replica where Player Fire res scales minion HP.
