[League start] Tips for new and inexperienced players

1. Don't read anything from PoE Reddit homepage. If you accidently saw somes already just don't believe them.

2. Don't be too ambitious thinking that you could beat uberbosses or farm hundreds of divine orbs with ease.

3. If you only have one or two hours to play the game everyday don't expect to complete the league challenges.

4. Don't be ashamed of your shitty builds. Everyone has to start somewhere.

5. There are some skills which are badly designed for map clearing or have a playstyle that you don't like, so make sure to try them out before committing your time for it.

6. If you just want some quick, easy way to have fun in the game then I recommend you to look for CaptainLance9 and Mathilification on youtube. Their builds are the most reasonable, softcore friendly you can find out there.

7. You should buy the item you want instead of crafting it. Most of the crafting in PoE are a gamble.

8. From my experience if you really like a skill just play it right from the start. Don't use a "league starter" build to farm gears for it.

Can agree with everything except for "CaptainLance9 and Mathilification." That's just cancer.

Minions are not for everybody, but the 3rd post in the thread has an extensive section on hints for newbies, and its for all builds, not just for minions.

It's worth a read, if you are new.

You forgot the most important advice: "Just don't bother, there are other games out there"

and dont read general discussion threads.
