Newly crafted RF Gloves with a twist (see below)

First off, I'd like to thank my clan as well as well as some outside help (from members of /global 820) with regards to this. Having a support base when going through extreme lengths of this type of crafting has only been made possible by people urging me to continue because they believed in me and my "vision." There are a few I'd like to thank specifically, and they know who they are, but you may not. In no order of importance:

FineImDoingIt
DoucheMcWanks
Spamurai
Dad
Puppet
Skanka_The_Cougar

These 6 people listed above have always taken the time to help me out in understanding certain things when it comes to this type of crafting. Without their support, I probably would've given up on this, but I'm glad to say that them pushing me to keep going ended up in a thing of beauty.

If you're actually interested in the whole crafting story and process, click the spoiler, if not, there's a pretty easy Tl;DR at the very bottom
Spoiler
I've been experimenting with a particular kind of craft for the last month or so. Specifically using recombs to see what insane mods I can acquire during the first phase of my crafting. I've seen it done before, so figured I'd give it a go.

I decided to do a "project" with Apothecary Gloves. I chose Apothecary because it's the best hybrid armor/es base.

This is a list of all the Armour/ES values of each hybrid int/str base showing the Apothecary Gloves at the very top of it:

Spoiler

My first attempt was actually about a month ago and I would also say the crafting went pretty good. I was all set to slam a yolo fracture on it and call it a day. I would then use a lesser Ichor and start working on implicits. But I never got that far. The fracture slammed life leech onto it and I was devastated. I tried to save the sentinel mod on it, but without any luck and I raged for like a good 20 minutes. Since then, I've tried to get it back again.

My guild has always been supportive of me and the guild master made a quad stash tab called Xayah's Apothecary Gloves DropBox. In it were a great deal of Apothecary Gloves. Each week or so, I would recomb a few after taking the necessary steps by making sure there was an open prefix slot. FOR SAFETY PURPOSES, I sometimes made sure there was only 1 pre (at max).

I really didn't care about the suffixes since that would be another step and Aisling (T4) would be assisting with those suffixes.

So last Thursday, I hit the coveted Sentinel mod on the gloves again. And this time, I was determined to nail it. I went afk for a few minutes to go out and smoke and calm my nerves. Literally, this had me super hyped and excited. I had been dropping recombs left and right. I had probably went through 60-70 recombs and 140 pairs of gloves to finally achieve it again, so it was something I was nervous about. When you're a crafter, and you put your heart and soul and div into the craft, you always hope it goes well.

I was on discord on my phone and I was going over the process with a guild mate of mine who has ALWAYS supported me. Like, this dude is the first person I speak to about crafting if I have a question. There are a few others, but he's been my support ever since meeting him. He may not admit it because he's so humble, but the dude is an OG. So I was speaking to him about the process and we spent the next 4 hours going over everything. Double checking what we need, how to get it and our odds (chances) of success. Our success rate was pretty good in the beginning. I had a plagued arachnid standing by, so what I first did was I split the gloves to isolate the sentinel mod. THEN, I went to my crafting bench and put prefixes can not change. Then I went back to the menagerie and made an imprint of the gloves. I would grab the imprint and the gloves and then regal. When the regal hit a suffix (doesn't matter which), I then made a trip back to my hideout and I would use the harvest bench and do some life reforge for T1 life. This part was PROBABLY the hardest and most frustrating part because it took forever and a day to get that T1 life roll. After about 45K worth of purple juice, I had the life roll. Wasn't perfect, but it was T1 and I could roll it to max later on.

I was now prepared to say hello to Jun after Aisling. Jun, who on so many occassions would screw me over. Not today. Before unveiling, I looked up to the sky, raised my crossed fingers up towards the heavens and shouted, "CHRIS, PLEASE GIVE ME SOME GOOD RNG!" I then clicked Unveil.

As the mods I had to choose from appeared, my heart began to beat faster.

The first 2 choice were:

14% Additional Physical Damage Reduction while Focused

AND

22% increased Armour and Energy Shield
+17 to Maximum Life

Those 2 showing up first had me really nervous. I was about to facepalm when the 3 choice flashed into existence. My jaw dropped! Elation had set in and I PROUDLY chose EXACTLY what I was praying for!

+2 to level of Socketed AoE Gems
8% increased Area of Effect.
<--- I would later max this to 10.

Spoiler

To say that I was elated was an understatement. Jun has always been a pain in my backside, but today, it seemed like the GGG Gods over in NZ actually took pity on me.

With all my Prefixes done, I went back to the bench, crafted prefixes can not be changed again and went for T1 life % for my first suffix. I ended up running out of purple juice, so had to buy some more. Ended up buying about 100K worth and went back to the harvest bench and went to work. Ironically, what took me forever to get T1 life as a prefix, took me less than 10 minutes of reforging for T1 life as a suffix. I had kept getting T2 life % or flat regenerate ##-## per second as well as a few hybrid life rolls which was aggravating. But it was a quick job and I eventually nailed it. It was time...

The moment of truth had arrived. My first attempt at creating these gloves were hampered by a horrible fracture, so it was time to man up and slam that yolo fracture. My biggest hope would that it would give me something crazy good or hit that sentinel mod.

It didn't hit the sentinel mod, but it DID hit the T1 life % Suffix roll, which was fine. Not a failure. Success actually. Perfect roll, so I was please. I rolled everything to perfect rolls and went to the implicits. Naturally, I was enthusiastic. I had all the prefixes and suffixes divined to perfect and the implicits were going to be the easiest part, or so I thought...

It took me a little bit of time to get the implicits I wanted, but it wasn't too costly either. After nailing the implicits and elevating it to perfect tier.

With those completed, the only thing left to do was GO BACK to the harvest bench and roll for the last 2 white sockets as Scamrici only gave me 2. After 3 tries, I nailed the last 2 white sockets. I was happy. Then, I realized my base wasn't at 100%, so I grabbed all the sacred orbs I had and started spamming. 37 Sacred Orbs later, I had completed this craft.

I decided to bench the final suffix so that anyone who wanted it changed, I could cater that suffix to their liking. I would just change that last suffix to each person who came by and wanted a pair with a suffix of their choice.

How the RF Godfather got involved

Spoiler
When I linked them in /global 820 and guild chat, I was told to show them to someone named Pohx. No idea why, so I inquired.

Everyone said he's a RF legend, well known among the PoE community. They all told me to show him the gloves to get his insight on it. So, after a day or two, I found him on discord and sent him a message about it. We spoke about it for a bit and I thought that was good enough.

It ended up progressing to where my guild master was in his twitch channel and asked him his opinion on the gloves while he was streaming. While this was happening, I was going through another craft when he's messaging me in game:

Dad: HE'S SHOWING YOUR GLOVES ON HIS STREAM!!!
Me: Huh? (Puzzled expression)
Dad: POHX IS LIVE AND SHOWING YOUR GLOVES!
Me: You're not serious! (Logs on to twitch)

At this point, I was bewildered and thought he was tricking me, but I decided to log onto twitch and hop in his channel just on the off chance that he was dead serious. What I saw was the SS I took of the gloves I had crafted. I literally said holy s*$T out loud as I caught an image of that SS I had posted to my guild's discord on his stream and he's talking about creating like 200 RF builds where he could decimate T16 maps. But he also said something that really floored me, but also made me SUPER HAPPY. You'll see/hear it in the clip below.

This is a clip that I made from his stream (last night) about the gloves. I missed most of the gloves conversation because I didn't log on in time to catch all of it. So I watched his livestream and chatted to him about possible items he could use for his toon.

In the clip, you'll notice that the gloves were changed (Implicit and final suff craft. He suggested fire exposure as the 2nd implicit which made total sense to me and was a quick fix (it literally took me like 20 seconds to hit the fire exposure mod)). I dropped the suppress implicit and the suppress suffix and switched them based on what he suggested.

Before this, I had no idea who he was, but watching his stream, the dude absolutely knew his stuff. He's currently playing a (soon to be RF Jugg as suggested by his character name) in the Ruthless league which is very limiting from what I've seen.

But getting his seal of approval was pretty insane.

His words were "on another realm of PoE."

I wasn't looking for exposure like this, but apparently, someone thought otherwise and they sought his opinion.

The clip doesn't show from beginning to end. It shows from 3/4 to end.

The full video is here:

The time the conversation happens is 1 hour and 47 minutes into the video in case you want to find it faster.

THE FINAL PRODUCT:

Mirror Fee: 125 Div

Once again, thanks to everyone who has supported me in my projects. Some have been pretty wild, and MOST have been 100% disastrous, but it's through the support I have that compels me to keep moving forward!

I love my support!

Thank you all for the time.

TL;DR - Made RF gloves and Pohx (The RF Godfather) showed them on his live stream on twitch.

I can only imagine the cost in crafting these. Yes, I'm jealous.

Most of it was for locking suffs and pres and the recombs. Took forever.

Just under 2 mirrors. And thank you!
