Life tap+Chains of command?
|
Hi! Thanks for clicking.
I'm doing a build with chains of command+physical spells (using spiritual aid) (reap and corrupting blood)+necro aeghis. Here: https://poeplanner.com/b/4kL The question is: There's a physical mastery giving me 40% increased damage with skills that cost life. Passive Cannibal Rite is giving me +30% at that too. If I got a lifetap support on chains of command, will the animated weapons receive that 70%+ damage? Asking because I don't know how those passives will work on minions. And life tap has a partial condition regarding minions. What you thinK? Last edited by fenixsemcinzas#6254 on Feb 28, 2023, 6:02:52 PM Last bumped on Mar 3, 2023, 12:13:42 AM

No. Any passives that don't specify minions or allies won't apply to minions.
I have a pretty good sense of humor. I'm not German.

Yeah. I know that old answer.
But the trick is: The writing says "all skills". Why would minions be excluded then? |

The passives increase your damage with skills that cost life. Minions aren't affected by modifiers to your damage.

Well, that sucks x.x.
I thought that the condition regarding "cost" would be different, since there's no 'your' and stuff. There was no minion gem specifying the physical damage done by the minion to go test too x.x Well, thanks for your time. Gonna go find a new support |

Minion skills do not deal damage (well there are exceptions like absolution, but none of our concern), they summon minions, and then the minions deal damage. This is the same reason why Annihilating Light won't provide triple damage to minions from elemental skills such as SRS or some golems.

There are two parts to all minion skills. (1) YOU summon, raise, or animate. Modifiers that affect you, namely cast speed, will affect the cast. (2) The minion performs their own set of skills. Modifiers must specify minions or allies to affect them. Spiritual Aid causes "minions deal #% increased damage" modifiers to affect you as well as minions. It does not do the reverse where your "#% increased damage" modifiers affect minions.
