32 WHYs for ggg to think about.
Some shower thoughts/gameplay feedback.
1. Why can we still not fracture influenced mods? I feel like influenced items are falling off. Most people don't even use them. They just buy a fracture they need and then spam essences. 2. Why fracture orbs are so rare? They are like 40 times more rare than ancient orbs. Making them more available would make casuals a lot happier and its still 1 in 4 chance (or worse) to fracture what you want anyway. 3. Why are tire monsters still in blighted maps? They do not follow the walking paths when timer ends. They get stuck at the corners of the map. 4. Why did you devalue Tainted Oils so much? They used to be 3ex on standard. Then 6ex for some time last year (maybe due to bug?). Now they are ridiculously common, less valuable than golden oil last time I checked. 5. Why did you remove jewel enchants altogether? It was nice to have a small addition to item progression, whether its was only 0.1% life regen or 10% ele avoid. 6. Why did you remove harvest divining? You even removed bench divining from syndicate hideouts as well. I know you wanted to make divine orbs more valuable, but don't you think you went too far? 7. Why does Tainted Armorer's Scrap only work up to 29%? Your item is already corrupted, which means you took a huge risk and it didn't brick. The risk should pay off and make tainted currency improve the item further, not the opposite. For example Tainted Fusing already does that, easy 6-links. 8. Why is there no hideout music volume slider? Some people don't like mapping with audio on, but want to hear their hideout player. 9. Why can I not hide scarabs and sacrifice fragments when I press hide items? They only get hidden when I re-enter area or if they are dropped by me. Sounds like a bug to me that never got fixed. 10.Why do we still get ''Resurrect In Town'' option outside of campaign? This is simply bad game design. 11.Why do we have to confirm twice to start a harvest encounter? And why the hell the second confirmation pops up in different place, so we can't just double click it? 12.Why do harvest mobs spawn so slowly? Is it because some computers lag too much? I'd personally rather take my chances of dying, than wait 20 sec to kill the plot, 3-4 times per map. 13.Why can we not see what items Animated Guardian is wearing? You made this cool skill 10 years ago and keep improving it by adding new monsters etc. However you never considered adding a way to view items. I know one of your devs works/helps on pob, so can you make a section for that there please? 14.Why are Spectres not viable as damage dealers anymore? Elementalist gets entire theme for golems, 3 different golem jewels and aggressiveness. What do Spectres get? Soul eater jewel? 15.Why is there no Tainted Divine Orb? 16.Why do so many divination cards give tier 1 unigue maps or 21 lvl gems with no quality. This shouldn't be a thing. I get that maybe they are designed by a supporter and that was the agreement 5 years ago. But I'm sure they wouldn't mind if the rewards were updated to tier 14 or 21/20. 17.Why do Essences stack to 9, Augs to 30. other items to 10 or 20? Make it same for every single currency please. Normalize it at 20. Do you know how frustating it is to sell essences at stacks of 9? 18.Why can't we have a 3-to-1 vendor recipe for embers and ichors? 19.Why do we need to open doors? You had no problem removing that for Incursions. It is simply ridiculous at this point. 20.Why do we have to identify items? Diablo 2 did it better. Diablo 3 did it better. I'm sure even diablo 4 will do it better than poe. We already have lootfilters for currency. Gear is just like currency but in another form. There is no reason to stop us from filtering rare items on the ground. 21.Why does GGG keep introducing new AWFUL items every league? Remember that single mod onslaught helmet? How does it even happen that someone at the company looks at the idea and then says: Yep, its gonna be great! We would rather have ONE single new chase item and call it a day. Not 5 items with +11 reflect or +2 dodge chance. 22.Why is Cadibro still not available as a hideout object? I thought old NPCs become one when they are removed, like Navali and old masters. I'm pretty sure even Chris mentioned adding him during interview. 23.Why do we stil have ''adjacent map drop chance'' nodes on the atlas tree? The whole point of having favored map slots in mid-endgame is to get maps you want. There is no way to go around these small nodes and they do more harm than good. It blows my mind they have survived to 3.20. 24.Why can't we filter heist contracts? 25.Why does heist have this half revealed map problem? It used to work properly back then... 26.Why did you lie about making game bosses better by not needing their atlas passives anymore? The only improvement you did was for watcher's eye drop rate and thats it. Bossing is really bad right now. It relies on selling literally everything you find and on rare drops. You even removed Heigh of Hubris. People say drop rate for flame/flesh was nerfed as well. 27.Why can't we use flask orbs on hp flasks? Is it really that overpowered to automate a hp refill against titty monsters that almost instantly one shot you anyway? You even introduced Progenesis last patch, which seems to be really strong... 28.Why did you nerf replica heists so much? It used to be 4 useless replicas and one special rare item. Now it is 4 rare items and one useless replica. 29.Why can't we re-annoint blighted maps? I believe this was broken ever since Ravaged maps were introduced. 30.Why is there no system for safe mirroring services? This is something you should had implemented in the very beginning. Mirror is an item most of us will never get to drop. Now, imagine the feeling one gets if it is scammed. 31.Why are Flamethrower towers so weak? In my experience even 2 projectile Freezebolt towers seem to do a better job. I place 3 of flamethrowers on a lane with empowering tower and monsters don't even care. 32.Why did you think it was a good idea to swap the value of Exalted orbs and Divines? I know the reason. I watch every league livestream with Chris and know what is going on. However it was very unprofessional for him to laugh at players and their losses. Chris always says how imporant it is for items to have value and players to be proud of them. Then he does this. Now exalt divination cards are worthless. All exalt products and t-shirts lose their meaning (okay this is kinda funny tho). The situation could have been handled differenly in a way for both orbs to be valuable. Look at sacred orb for example, it is over a divine. Yep, some of these have been brought up many times before by other people and for a good reason. I didn't want to leave them out. " 13: animated guardian is made of items not monsters :P but i keep regularly asking them to add an altar for its management (as well as making it reservation based and allowing multiple guardians out at once) which would take it from a support skill into a full on primary skill without chains of command. 14: Raise Spectre is viable right now, I would wager that if you've tried a spectre build that would not reach endgame that it was not being scaled properly, load the monster on PoE-DB and check to see what skill it has that are similar to player skills.. Then you use available scaling methods for that damage type and it usually works out. There's a right way to build spark and a wrong way for example.. usually a ratio of a few statistics to get it to that sweet spot and monsters are not any different in fact more complicated in many cases because they have several skills available in their kits.. but when it comes to minions its been very difficult to give them ALL-OF the defensive stats they require for endgame to the point its almost removing any uniqueness from my builds. They are falling off defenses wise in uber tier content however, i've had a lot of difficulty adding enough defenses that ubers don't 1-2 shot my spectres, phys/chaos resistance seems to be the hardest to come by.. Chaos i have covered in a couple levels however phys all i can really give them is Determination aura, that still leaves me with spell supression which despite having maximum elemental res isnt enough in some cases. Edit: if you're interested in spectre builds hit me up i can probably make whatever pet you want to work function all the way up to endgame, i just cant promise the uber fights will be beatable through sheer power alone like some xyzgazilliondps builds.. They could make the crafting with awakeners less rng heavily, but I see the point why they don't allow fracture on powerful influence mods. 4. The player base decides the value of items 22. He is available? Just not as a free npc but he's part of newer support packs. Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

Flamethrower towers are probably DoT, which means they cannot stack with themselves. Yes, looks silly to make towers like that in the first place, but viable possibility in light of other grand designs there.

" Technically not true. The player decides the value of items...based on game developer set rates of drop and other non-player controlled characteristics. Especially for items such as oils. The boost to drop rate on the developer's end effectively controlled the price to force it lower. It is foolish to say "the player base decides the value of items", without realizing where and how those decisions are being made. This can be directly seen with the exalt/div debacle. The players COULDN'T keep exalts at the same value because the developers made it impossible to do so. Regarding spectres vs golems. There are 6 golems. Only 6. There are literally hundreds / THOUSANDS of spectres. THAT is why golems have dedicated jewels and gear and ascendancy. It still doesn't measure up to the uniqueness of spectres. Power and balance is a different story. Spectres do not just get the soul eater gem, they also get new spectres every single league. Additionally, the viability of golems as damage dealers vs. spectres is in a questionable state. It has been a very long time since flame golem / ice golem / stone golem builds were a thing. DPS golems has almost been completely dominated by carrion builds, which is 1 single golem type. Animated Guardian: so so so true, but also equally valid for all other minion types. We have never been given accurate in-game information on minions since the dawn of poe time. Pashid is right about fractured influenced items. Influenced items are absurdly powerful. Fractured items have now given all other items the potential to compete in rare circumstances, but if influenced items were also able to be fractured we would have a serious serious power creep problem, along the lines of OG harvest crafting.
