The Maven witnesses the Uber Elder boss fight regardless of witness status

If the Maven's beacon is on when opening an Uber Elder fight, she will witness the fight regardless of witness status. I understand that doing the fight that way gives you the witness of both Shaper and Elder for The Feared, but she still appears when both bosses are already witnessed. Is there a benefit to doing the fight this way?
