Replica emberwake + ignite resistant monsters
You can't do any ignite damage to ignite resistant monsters while you have replica emberwake equipped, i'm assuming they have less duration and it stacks with 90% shorter duration of ignites from the ring.
I have to un-equip the ring at every 2nd rare monster because of this. I really hope this is not intended. Last bumped on Jan 16, 2023, 4:59:52 PM

Unfortunately it's not that easy to get around.
"Fire and Ignite Resistant" monsters have 80% reduced ignite duration on them, which stacks additively with Replica Emberwake's 90% reduced ignite duration. Blackflame, with it's 50% reduced ignite duration, shares the same issue. When Archnemesis launched, the related AN modifier "Incendiary" had a similar stat, that was changed from "reduced" to "less" in the middle of the league. It was later further changed from "less ignite duration" to "+fire res against damage over time". Unfortunately the new version of monster modifiers returned to the original "reduced ignite duration". A Diadem with the "increased duration of ailments while focused" modifier, or a 5/20 Awakened Unbound Ailments Support gem, might help just enough to get your ignites to at least have a small duration. If you try one of those and it doesn't work, also swapping from Elemental Weakness to a 20 quality Flammability might nudge duration up just enough. Ideally the "Fire and Ignite Resistant" modifier would be changed so that your damage is much lower but not entirely negated...but for now, you'll need to counter their reduced ignite duration to damage them. Even if that is by unequipping your ring. |
