What I think is wrong with fracturing orb hunts

Ok. The simple fix everyone would like to see is "increase the drop rate", but it won't so I just want to share my thoughts on how harvest was better than this.

When fracturing was tied to harvest it required two things. Sacred life force, and 10k red/wild. First, while you were farming the wild life force, you were also farming other lifeforce which you were then selling or using. Filled in the time for the frustration of finding a t4 seed and getting a dud. At least you could be earning some fair value for your time.

What do you get for farming harbingers? Oh boy, exalted shards (which people don't care much about anymore) and orbs of annulment (which there were enough of already).

There's no real side profit or function from running harbringers.

Then there's the drop rate. A sacred life force was about a 1 in 5 (at least for me) drop. So when the memory dropped, you had higher odds of finding at least 1 goodie. .....what do harbinger memories and maps drop? more junk.

I feel like I'm being forced to dump points in the tree, and blow chaos right and left in the desperate hope of increasing my odds, an there's no other serious profit other than the desire to get lucky.

This making for a REALLY REALLY boring farm. Sure you could speed up the process running lower maps, but that nixes all the other loot drops from trashy incubators to abyss depths and it doesn't really improve the drop rates.
In the meantime harvest suffers becuase a lot of the drive for it went out the window.

My solution is this...GGG needs to stop with this "all or nothing mentality". Like with the Exalt/divine change over. The crafts were 2 exalt and the changed it automaticlly to 2 divine. They could have set it for 1 exalt and 1 divine. Then done the final change over this season.

The same thing should happen here. You need to blend this very desirable crafting mechanism. Increase the drop rates on the fracturing shards, but tie them to harvest crafting. Require 10k wild life force again, but instead of a sacred life force, have the fracturing orb be a replacement. Then people can choose, farm harbingers for the orbs (seriously I see more exalt shards than I do fracturing), or farm life force for the other side as well, or someone could seriously invest in their tree and try to farm both.

Harvest will once again get a boost of interested people, and harbingers won't be so painful.
