Expedition shock effect is still additive, contradicting patch notes
|
From the patch notes: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3323944#jewelsandailmentmitigation
We've also changed Monster-inflicted sources of Chill and Shock effect to be multiplicative, rather than additive. This is to allow sources of reduced effect of ailments to be able to stack, and provide immunity. Expedition remanants still show that they provide increased shock effect, and the shock sizes they apply only make sense if it is additive with the character's reduced shock effect. My friend ran into this in this GIF: https://gyazo.com/8e22f4b5a5ae8730bfaf961d6c8d7152 They take a hit from ~4100 to ~2500, or 32% of their HP. This applies a 47% shock. The character has 85% reduced shock effect. They believe it was 200% increased shock effect (2 remnants). If it was multiplicative, the applied shock should've been .316 (32% of ailment threshold hit) * .15 (character 85% reduced shock effect) * 3 (200% increased) or a 14% shock. They instead take a 47% shock. 47% isn't what is expected given the numbers above if it's additive, so not positive what is wrong, but there is no way that character shock reduction is multiplicative with expeditions. If GGG support sees this - any chance it was fixed in 3.21? I didn't see it mentioned in the patch notes for 3.21
