Chaos Inoculation & Damage from Hits taken as Chaos Damage

Hey,

so i was playing around my "self cast Dark Pact" build with CI and found out there is no "immunity" to chaos damage.

I had the idea to convert some physical damage to chaos damage to get a bit more tanky. Well, every physical damage is bypassing my ES and is one shotting me...

Is this intended?

Got this stat on my helmet and my shield:

#% of Physical Damage from Hits taken as Chaos Damage

Man, every own idea i have in this game is getting shattered... :D

That's not chaos damage killing you...
