What will happen to corrupted stranglegasp onyx amulet(having 4 anoints) if we annoint it using tainted oil

This would have been much easier to answer if you had linked the amulet in question.

It depends whether or not it still has its Unique modifier of "Can have 3 additional enchament modifiers" if not then it removes all the annoitments it had leaving only the one you just added.

If yes, then it replaces the oldest annoint with the new one.

How to know which one's the oldest? Just anointed a corrupted 4-mod Stranglegrasp and it switched the bottom mod but the rest of the mods have switched places randomly for some reason

I dont thing you can know, other then its your own item and you remember the order you anointed it in.

With my experience (I have just do it)
Re-annoint a new will only replace the first annoited (also called "oldest").
It is first annoint display in amulet (not in tooltip about it function).

In POB, you can see that name is "Annoint 1".
