Why is the ability to zoom out further gated behind a $480 supporter pack?

I don't understand how GGG will allow players to zoom out further but only if they put it behind a paywall of $480 where you can only do it inside of the hideout that comes with the pack? Doesn't seem really fair or rational if you ask me, even if it is just visual. Considering people have been asking for this feature in actual gameplay outside of the hideout.

Let us zoom out more. Bring back 32:9, Heist Alt Quality Gems, Gear Enchanting, Prophecy, Metamorph & Crucible. Stop removing content from the game. Stop nerfing everything. Stop making the game slow

Didn't they say it is impossible to implement this in the normal game because of lag issues?
Tbh I turned off the zoom out. I find it jarring.
Realistically its a feature that has always been paywalled by the price of the monitor...
I have never felt further from what I know and love

More specifically server serialisation issues.

They're servers aren't strong enough to deal with a larger quantity of players with further view distance forcing more object rendering and tracking while making it sync properly.

It's not really a connection limitation. Well, least not ideally. Have you ever messed with Dyndolod for Skyrim? Essentially you can force the game to full render at max view distance but this totally shits on your performance if you push it too far. Even with a 30 or 40 series.

A wider view distance does this to their servers via computing and object tracking.

It's true. PC gaming has always been P2W.

It's why any tournament worth it's salt is done with standardized computers.

Not only this. Also the AI has a certain activation distance. If they would allow more zoomed out gameplay you would see monster packs just standing there like statues ,doing nothing, from afar. Would break the immersion and would look retarded and even more like a beta test than it already is.

Thanks, i was wondering why some streamers have such great field of vision and im playing in a magnifing glass
it only works in hideout, so care to explain how that matters?

Also, i'm not a graphics programmer but I reckon it would take a lot more resources to render that extra screen space. The game is already suffering from poor performance with large pack sizes & on-screen effects, making it zoomed out might just outright crash it every few seconds.
