Blight: Atlas Passives do not work in Blighted Maps and this is terribly confusing.
|
This reddit post brought it up and I felt the need to bring it here.
https://www.reddit.com/r/pathofexile/comments/zn2zmd/blight_passive_tree_from_atlas_does_not_apply_to/ Blighted maps being called maps but not having the atlas passives apply to them despite generically calling out 'maps' is just confusing as heck, and feels disingenuous after figuring this out. I get that a majority of content doesn't actually interact with the atlas passives: Quoting a couple posts on this one... " Where it gets confusing is that blighted maps are still called maps, look like maps, craft like maps, have mods like maps, share tiers and names with maps. Shaper/Elder/Conquerer maps all work with atlas passives and are visually/craftingly similar to Blighted maps. I mean, if it looks like one, tastes like one, smells like one and feels like one... I mean, it must be one, right? If making atlas passives effect Blighted Maps is not feasible, would it be possible change how Blighted Maps are presented? For example: 'Purification Site/Mission' rather than just 'Blighted Shore' Last edited by Keiger#1167 on Dec 22, 2022, 11:51:37 AM Last bumped on Dec 31, 2022, 5:53:49 AM

I completely agree , it's very confusing i changed my whole tree around to maximize the drops just to realize after one blighted map that nothing works.

Doesn't surprise me, they were probably made into sort of fragments on purpose so that they couldn't be put in the map tab (at the time they wanted to sell a Blight tab and one of the ways they wanted to do that was to make a new tab the place where Blighted Maps go).
